I worked as a radio host in Chicago where I'd earn about $500 a week. The show was titled The Happy Hour Club. I enjoyed working as a radio host. Working there is what helped me get my own TV show.
My younger jobs
I worked as a newspaper boy, which was only for a year. I then got a job as a candy maker in a burlesque theater. I enjoyed working in the entertainment business. It also was a lot of money which I enjoyed. But during and shortly after that I had my other jobs, bus boy, punch-press operator's assistant, and a lumber yard watchman.
Tv Career
My acting career started with me getting a job in my own tv show. It ran from 1953 to 1965. It changed from Make Room for Daddy, to The Danny Thomas Show in 1957.
The Show won Several awards such as five Emmys. It was a hit TV show and was in the Top Ten. It ran a total of 11 seasons.
